Dr Felix Shaba

Founder & Executive Director

Dr. Felix Shaba is a distinguished individual with an extensive background in both the governmental and non-governmental sectors. He holds a PhD in Business from Oxford Brookes University, UK, with a thesis focused on women’s empowerment. Dr. Shaba’s academic journey includes an MSc in Corporate Finance & Investment and an MA in International Finance from London Metropolitan University, UK. He initiated his academic pursuits with a BSc (Hons) in Finance from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. Dr. Shaba’s credentials reflect a comprehensive educational foundation.
Beyond his academic achievements, Dr Shaba is a man of action. He actively engages in various projects and programmes that empower women and young girls, illustrating his unwavering commitment to positive societal change. His leadership as CEO and founder of the GAFIN Charitable Foundation is a testament to his dedication to bridging the gender gap and empowering women and young girls in rural areas. His work is not just a job but a passion that drives him to make a difference.
Dr. Shaba’s influence extends beyond the academic and professional realms, as evident in his novels “Just Yesterday and Amarachi’s Tangled Threads. These literary works mark his inaugural venture into the realm of novel writing and demonstrate a significant milestone in his academic journey. These novels seamlessly blend theoretical insights with practical initiatives, emphasizing the profound impact of women on shaping children’s futures and what they pass through in their multifaceted roles. This showcases his ideological stance on women’s empowerment and introduces readers to a compelling narrative that resonates with transformative potential.

Dr Anthonia Mamudu

Secretary

Anthonia Mamudu is a medical doctor with keen interest in Public Health. Driven by this passion, she began residency in Public Health at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH). She has acquired over eight years professional experience as a health care practitioner and she is considered a highly motivated, compassionate and organized health professional with distinguished client-care skills.
Over the years she has conducted various outreaches both in rural and urban settings and has facilitated several health education programmes among women and children across various states in Nigeria. She has acquired vast experience in the areas of community support and working with families and young adults and has also coordinated multiple health promotion strategies thereby gaining resourceful knowledge working with individuals from diverse multicultural settings.
Dr. Mamudu holds a Bachelor in Medicine; Bachelor in Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Port Harcourt Nigeria and is a member of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria. She currently serves as the secretary of GAFIN Charitable Foundation.
