Vision
Our vision is to bridge gender imbalance in rural communities and break the cycle of extreme and intergenerational poverty among women and girls in these communities.
Mission
GAFIN is dedicated to making practical contributions to the welfare of women and girls in rural communities, ensuring they become confident and have their voices magnified in their communities and beyond.
We will engage in community education as well as the development of various projects and programs that would be tailored towards achieving goals as identified in the individual/community needs assessment.
The organisation strongly believes in the concept that when you empower a woman, you empower a household.
Our Values
Generous: We strongly believe in compassion. We are aware of imbalances in opportunities and distribution of resource. We will ensure no woman or young girl is left out.
Adventurous: This gives us a sense of purpose, knowing fully well that women and girls should be given opportunities and the means to explore and maximise their potentials.
Fair: Everything we do is grounded in equity and social justice. We believe that to make a lasting impact, everyone should get an equal chance at success and be treated equally. Our support is based on individual/collective needs, irrespective of differences.
Innovation: From time to time, we will come up with creative solutions to various problems women and girls encounter in their daily activities in order to make life more enjoyable and efficient for women and girls.
Nurture: We are ambitious about nourishing our women and girls so that they can have access to the resources needed to cater for their household; when a woman is empowered, the entire household enjoys the benefits.
